Friday Routines - 12/5

Well, here’s the picture of what has now affectionately called the... “Dr. Seuss Cake” When I made it, it did look like something out of a Who-ville bakery.  Which made me love it even more.

Click over to Cooking the Covers and I’ll tell you why along with all the in house experts opinions of it.  Just a sneak preview…it was so delicious and so fiddly to make.  The tastes were great separate (I stuck my finger in each bowl when I was making it just to make sure) and fabulous combined!  Plus, I never made marshmallow before…that’s right, peppermint marshmallow! YUM!

It’s Christmas tree day and I have enlisted my son and his friend Reed (my second pretend son and featured as an in-house expert re: the Dr. Seuss Cake) to help me haul home our evergreen and wreaths for the front door.  Usually our house is lit up like the Grizwalds (just with all white lights) but this year, I am cutting back.  Oh, there’ll be lights, just nothing over the top.  It’s also poinsettia pick up day at Soph’s school, so the house will be buzzing with everything Christmas and gorgeous white poinsettias…It’s time to step it up, break out the Christmas dishes, start watching Christmas DVD’s and deck the halls!

And a note to Terri...I'll run a few pieces over to you later on today and Thanks for yesterday!  Girrrl...you're gonna love this!
