Pumpkin Spice Cake - For Breakfast?
Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at 11:57AM This week with all the happenings (my brother being here) there's been a lots of cooking going on, just not a lot of experimental development. We’ve been Cooking the Covers and flipping through magazines of all types pulling out the tastiest looking recipes and giving them a go. Mom’s Test Kitchen made a FAB salad with roasted squash and I just posted that on her page.
Bon Appétit had the most wonderful Pumpkin Spice Cake recipe on page 183 of the November issue. The cake was easy, tasty and moist. The caramel cream cheese frosting was one of the most delicious frostings I have ever tasted - spatula lickin good! And apparently nice for breakfast (according to the pictures).

I’m not going to post the recipe since it is right on Epicurious – and well worth the clicking time it takes to get there. Another hit all around.
For the rest of the week, I’ll be busy working my way through the reams of magazines on my coffee table and will post a fall appropriate recipe that’s easy on Not Just Eggs. I've been neglecting the little chickens over there.
